Recently GPS based street navigation software company Garmin released another innovative app called as StreetPilot for iPhone. This is their latest addition to the line of GPS Apps that they have introduced previously. The Street Pilot App boasts of a lot of features that are pretty much alike the previous tracking app nuvi. StreetPilot app for iPhone has an up-to-date Map support for both the North American countries including U.S and Canada. All the maps and different kind of direction sets are pulled off directly from the company’s servers, means that you can have the same quality as a native GPS unit will be having.

The app takes only about 7 MB of space that is quite decent. Street Pilot for iPhone is extremely intuitive and very easy to navigate, plus the UI of the app is also very catchy. The app also houses a dedicated weather layout and you can use it for tracking the weather conditions. Voice navigation service is also very seamless and easy on the ears; pedestrian directions are also included. Holding down any part of the map will make a menu to appear that will allow users to choose a particular location as their destination or find something nearby of that location or save the location. A brief rundown of Street pilot app features is:

  • An up-to-date archive of U.S and Canada Maps
  • Voice Prompted and turn by turn direction indication
  • Traffic update in the real-time so that users can avoid Traffic delays
  • Speed limitations for all the major roads indicated
  • iPod controls integrated into the App
  • Both the Landscape and Portrait Mode available

StreetPilot for iPhone can be downloaded from Apple App store.
