Activating Voice Control

In order to activate Voice control, user of iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 has to press and hold the Home button and in case of Bluetooth handset or Headphones, the middle button.  When a beep is sounded, the voice control user interface appears and asks for user command. All the available commands include:

  • Dial [Mobile Number]
  • Dial [Contact Name]
  • Facetime Chat can be activated with Contact Name
  • Play Music Command
  • Play [specific Playlist] command
  • Play Any Artist[Artist Name]
  • What Time is This?[Command]

For example user can say, Call John and your Phone dialer will pop-up with John being dialed. If user has made any kind of mistake regarding giving command then he can rectify with a CANCEL command. Good thing about Voice Command is that it works in all situations may it be Homescreen or in the event when your Phone is locked.
