How To: Reset iPhone Keyboard Automatic Dictionary

It’s a smartphone frenzy time out there in the consumer electronics market where every tech giant is frantically trying to launch their version of smartphones with some pretty snazzy features in them. Almost all of these latest smart-phones have touch screen interfaces with soft keyboards and these soft keyboards are pre-programmed with intelligent dictionaries and options like Auto-Correct, same goes for Apple’s iPhone as well.
Sometimes you really get frustrated that your iPhone built-in dictionary learns a false word and the auto correct feature always pops up those wrong words. Well if you are curious to get rid of this problem then today’s iPhone Tip is all about this. We always worry and pray that auto-correct feature in our iPhone keyboard dictionaries doesn’t come alive when we are texting to someone important. Bad thing is that Apple does not give user much of options to edit those wrong dictionary entries. So here’s a simple way of getting rid of this problem:
Till the time Apple’s does not provide us the leverage of individually editing the entries in the iPhone keyboard dictionary, we have to resort to the option of resetting. Well it’s not a good deal but it very much fixes the problem, moreover users of iPad and iPod Touch can also resort to this option, so the steps are namely:
- Go to the Settings on the Homescreen
- Go to General Tab and from there to Reset Tab
- Tap the option Reset Keyboard Settings
- Doing this, your keyboard dictionary will go back to default
