How to Add a additional phone number to already existing contacts

Well guys, last month we covered Howto Improve iPhone's battery life in "how to tip" and today we are writing about a useful tip to add the additional phone number to any of the contact that exists on your iphone phonebook. Most of the iPhone users come across a particular situation in which they receive calls and text messages from a second number or the alternate number of the contact. In this particular scenario, you will obviously like to save the number in your contact list. So why to go through the hassle of manually trying to add the number to the existing contact, when there exists a very easy way of managing your contact. Here is How:

Adding Number from Recent calls

  • First of all tap the Phone App
  • Now tap the Recent Calls Tab
  • Now tap the Blue Arrow next to the number that you want to save with your already existing number
  • Once the call info screen pop-ups, the option Add to an Existing Contact will be there, tap on it
  • Address Book will pop up and scroll to the contact in which you want to save your number
  • You can change the type of phone number and tap done

Adding any Number from text message

  • Tap the Messages App
  • Scroll to the top of the conversation
  • Now tap Add to the Contacts Button
  • An option will pop-up Add to the existing contact

So these are two simple steps following which you can add additional numbers to the already existing contacts.
