Google has been planning to launch its e-book service from quite some time now and according to Mountain View California search giant, their e-book service will be one of its kinds providing an innovative way of reading books on your computers and handhelds.

So finally, after much wait and hype, the long rumored Google electronics book service has gone live (partially). This amazing service by Google allows users of iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch to read books on their device from an archive of thousands of books. The good thing about this service is that users on the web or on the other portable and handheld devices including Android Phones or Nook will also be able to read books from this service. The iOS webpage tied up with the Google’s e-book service houses almost 8,000 titles that are available for users to download.

Compatibility issues

Now coming over to the problematic areas, Google is presently using Adobe DRM for their e-books service so this means that it won’t be compatible either Amazon’s reader kindle or iBooks. Although, this service will be compatible with the other services and the online reading stores that are fully supporting Adobe Content Server 4. Moreover, users are also facing issues regarding the downloading of native app because right now when you try to download it from iTunes, it gives error that the item you have requested is not available on the App Store and will take time to be sorted out.
