Jailbreak iPhone 4 with Limera1n

Recently, Geohot a popular Jailbreak tweak developer released Limera1n. Limera1n is popular Jailbreak software and is out now in the application market. Limera1n enables Jailbreaking of both the iPhone latest models that iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS. Moreover, it’s a Jailbreak for these iDevices running on the latest Apple firmware iOS 4.1.

Using the Limera1n, users can Jailbreak their iDevices running on iOS 4.1, the list of iDevices that can be Jailbroken using Limera1n includes iPod Touch 3G and 4G alongwith iPhone 4and iPhone 3GS. Jailbreak through Limera1n is at present available for Windows Operating System only.

Well there are some limitations as far as usage of Limera1n is considered:

Limera1n requires the user to be running the firmware version iOS 4.1 on their iDevices. If Limera1n Jailbreaking tool is used by for iPhone that also depends on unlocking, then using Limera1n is not suggested because UltraSn0w do not support the latest baseband. In this case, users will have to wait for the Pwnage Tool.
But iPhone users can update to iOS 4.1firmware without updating baseband using the software Tinyumbrella.

Steps for Jailbreaking iPhone 4 with Limera1n

Step 1

Download Limera1n from this link here

Step 2

Now execute the downloaded package with the name of Limera1n, execute Limera1n.exe and then hit the make it ra1n appeared button.

Step 3

Now once the make it ra1n is executed, users will now have to connect their iDevice that is either iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS

Step 4

Once the device is connected to the user’s device, it will now go into a displayed Recovery Mode.

Step 5

Press two buttons simultaneously, hold the Home + Power buttons. After some time release the Power button but keep the Home button pressed.

Step 6

After the above process is complete, iPhone will go in a DFU Mode. User will see a Limera1n Logo on their iPhone screens. A “done” message window will appear on the iDevice screen once the Jailbreak is done.

Step 7

Now open the Limera1n application from iPhone home screen and install the Cydia Application from that Home Screen. Once Cydia is completely installed then rebooting is required. Once the reboot is done, the Jailbreaking is complete.

So the users will just have to follow these simple instructions and they will be able to have their Jailbreak iPhone or iPod Touch ready for them.
