The search giant Google on Tuesday released an update for its Google Mobile Search App for the iDevices including iPad, iPhone and iPod. Google has added the support for its latest technology named as Goggles search-by-image technology.

Google’s this new added option Goggles allows the users of the app to take the snap or a picture of any object they are interested in using the iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS integral camera. Once the image is taken, the user can then perform the search based on that image. The service Goggles will resultantly analyze the image in detail and highlight all the objects it will be able to recognize. Once the image is analyzed and recognized, Goggles will then give various information tabs on the image and the users will be able to tap on these information boxes to perform specified search on those information providing objects.

Goggles is a feature launched by Goggle labs and is still in the testing phase, according to the developers and analysts it works well for the objects like Logos, Landmarks, DVDs and game titles and cover of books. Moreover, the Goggles require an autofocusing feature so that specific areas can be captured. So, till now iDevices that contain Autofocus features includes iPhone 4 and the previous version iPhone 3GS. The update that is launched also requires an iOS4 or any later version of iOS.
