Apple on Monday released a modified edition of its original AirPrint announcement; in the revised statement, Apple has removed support which the company promised for iPod Touch second-generation. AirPrint App is a real amazing innovative step from Apple and it is indeed a great addition to Apple App Store. AirPrint by default searches and finds printers on any local network which is able to print text, graphics, photos or any other compatible contents wirelessly over any Wi-Fi network without the hassle of downloading and installing the required drivers or any kind of software.

The point which is to be noted is that originally Apple’s release notes stated that printing through the AirPrint App will only be supported on the iOS Devices that also have the integral support for the multi-tasking but on the other hand, Apple also declared iPod 2G as compatible. But for now, the Second Generation Apple’s iPod Touch has been removed from that list and is no more on the compatible devices list which the users see on the App description.

Well, this is the second incident in which Apple has revised its compatibility list for an application or software, last time the Game Center Application was the one which got revised compatibility. Apple also changed the list of devices which were to have Game Center support just before the software’s official launch. Game Center had initially set as compatible for iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G, but after the release and it update iPhone 3G was removed from the list but iPod Touch 2G was later on added after the beta testing of iOS 4.1 was successful.

AirPrint is a great new feature of the new firmware and it surely will revolutionize the way Smartphones can be used in a corporate environment and will provide a diversified usage of the Phone.
