Two Amazing Applications For the Jailbroken iPhone

Countless people are opting to finally liberate their iPhone from the ridiculous restrictions put forth by Apple utilizing the fast and easy browser dependent method that has been picking up much hype all week. So, it is high time to cram applications in your iPhone that were not allowed by Apple. Don’t you just love bypassing restrictions and sticking it up to the authorities?

As a proud owner of a newly liberated iPhone 3GS (jailbreak using Jailbreakme previously this morning), I have been busily testing some of the most reputed applications and have come to the conclusion that I was missing out on a lot. Listed below are the top two applications which I see are absolutely necessary for all owners of liberated iPhones.

(Note: I have provided links to the websites where all of the applications I mentioned are readily available. But to successfully transfer them to your iPhone Cydia or Rock store applications are required)

1. iD3 ($1.99): a jailbroken iPhone is yours for customizing in any way conceivable. You can apply countless skins to it. A nifty application named iD3 allows you to amazingly alter the look of your lock screen, icons and various generic in built applications like calculator, dialer and iPod. It also gives a unique touch to sounds iPhone produces when a user interacts with it. iD3 lets you radically transform the look and feel of your iPhone by providing more than 100 themes.

2. IntelliScreen ($9.99): iPhone users fully realized the absence of windows styled functional screen. Well, the wait is finally over as Intelliscreen brings the capability home to iPhone. Users can now have their calendars, emails and text messages visible on their lock screen, not only this but the lock screen will also display selected news, sports updates and latest weather news. Selecting a layout which would not cram the screen is a bit difficult and the screen takes time for displaying all the new info, but it still remains the best way to have your lock screen populated by information.
