It’s Good to be Apple, as it Sells 100,000,000 iOS devices

This year has certainly been pretty good so far for Apple and its products. It’s safe to say that whatever Apple touches, turns into gold. As Apple began the year by launching tablet game changer iPad, no one knew what would be the response from the users. Many analysts were skeptical of whether the world needed a tablet computer?

Well, it seems like the world did and the iPad has sold like hot cakes and is leading the tablet market with other competitors scrambling to bring their response out in the market. Then, we have the iPhone 4 which is by far the best iPhone that Apple has come up with thus far. Despite some antenna design issues the iPhone 4 has achieved phenomenal success and Apple is left with counting the dollars.

To put the numbers into context, Apple has so far sold more than 3 million iPads which is simply mind blowing for a new niche product. Apple certainly knows how to create a new product and sell it in the market. The iPhones numbers are quite staggering as well as Apple has announced that it sold 8.7 million iPhones in quarter two and 8.4 million in quarter 3.

But, these numbers have given us a staggering number too, and that is the number of total iOS devices sold so far has crossed 100,000,000. Yes, this looks like a train of zeros but Apple certainly has taken the market as its creations are flying off the shelves and are taking Apple’s revenue to new heights.

All of this has been made possible by the aggressive and risk taking approach by the Apple management. While other competitors were unsure of the tablet market, Apple brought iPad and then after a few months threw in the best iPhone yet, which by the way is still the phone to beat.
