How To Unlock Your iPhone 3GS
Guys the method to unlock your iPhone 3GS is finally here. Being an iPhone user you must already be aware that Apple places SIM and application locks on the iPhone; preventing you from using unsigned apps and SIMs of your desired cellular networks.
So be happy, because by the end of this guide you will be capable of unlocking your iPhone 3GS. Keep this in mind that before we proceed towards unlocking, you have to first jailbreak your iPhone.
First of all, you need to know the iOS version and baseband of your iPhone. Launch the settings from the springboard then go to general settings. Select ‘About’ from this tab. The ‘About’ screen displays the version of the iOS and ‘Modem Firmware’. The ‘Modem Firmware’ is the baseband version.
Jailbreaking is an easy process you just have to follow some given steps. There are many tools for jailbreaking which are impossible to cover in a single post. Tools such as Pwnage tool that is available in two versions, one of them being developed by the iPhone Dev-team can be used for jail breaking your iPhone 3GS.
Moving on to the unlocking, it can be done using Ultrasnow 0.93. Before continuing on with the steps, it is better that you disconnect the 3G connection during the process.
Step1: Run the Cydia application and proceed to the “Manage” section.
Step2: After clicking on sources add this address: Repo666.ultrasn0w.com
Step3: Now while in the Cydia application press the “Search” tab and enter “Ultrasnow 0.93” in the toolbox. Once found, install this application.
Step4: Once you have installed Ultrasnow 0.93 use it to unlock the phone. After the completion of the automated process, the phone will auto restart. After this restart the phone should be in the unlocked state for you to enjoy.
